DALLAS – March 26, 2010 – St. James Park, a development by Harwood International located in Sunnyvale, is hosting the First Annual Thursday Night Criterium Bike Race presented by Mirage Cycling and Richardson Bike Mart. The races are held each Thursday evening through Oct. 21.
“Exploring new grounds is part of the adventure, so we are really looking forward to having our Criterium Nights in a new location,” said Jim Hoyt, owner, Bike Mart. “St. James Park in Sunnyvale will provide a beautiful setting for our races as well as a convenient location for our racers within 20 minutes of Dallas.”
Registration opens at 5 p.m. and closes 10 minutes before each of the three races. The fee to compete in each race is $15. Race C is a 30-minute race starting at 5:30 p.m. and is a category 4/5 (juniors 4/5), Race B is a 50-minute race starting at 6:05 p.m. and is a category 3/4 (juniors 3), and Race A is a 60-minute race starting at 6:55 p.m. and is a category 1, 2, and 3. The new course is nearly a mile on new concrete roads encompassing three sweeping turns and several bends. For more information about the races, visit www.bikemart.com.
